a. For three consecutive numbers, the sum of the first number, twice the second and 7 less than the third is 133. What are the three numbers?

Okay, so we have 3 consecutive numbers: X, X+1, X+2

 

We also know that :

X + 2(X+1) +[(X+2) - 7] = 133

X + 2X + 2 +X -5 = 133

4X -3 = 133

4X = 136

X = 34

So our numbers are 34, 35, 36
