How do you split a cell into multiple rows in Excel?

You might be able to split the contents of the cell using the Text to Columns function on the data ribbon.  Then Copy and use Paste Special, selecting the "Transpose" option to move the data into rows.

You can't split a cell into multiple rows but you can convert multiple cells into one by using merge cell button. If there is data into multiple cells that needs to be brought into one cell, you need to use concatenate function to combine them in one cell.
