How do you edit and rename files in MS Excel?

(2) HOW TO OBTAIN A BLANK RIBBON FOR EDITING TEXT NEAR THE TOP OF THE SCREEN AS MOST OF MY (31) FILES IN TOY TRAIN INVENTORY DON'T HAVE IT

Renaming a file in excel is the same as renaming any file from any program.  Here are the steps.

 

1)  If you are on MS Excel, save the file you have, then close the program.

2)  Look for the location you saved your file.  It could be either in desktop, documents folder, or flashdrive.  Your file should have a paper icon with a green x on it.

3)  Once you find your file, right click on that file and select "rename".  You will be able to type a new name.

 

 

To obtain a blank ribbon, right click anywhere on the ribbon and select "minimize the ribbon".  You will see it disappear from the program.
