How much time it would take to learn Excel?

You can learn the basics of Excel (ie, how to write formulas and used basic built in functions, manipulate/format

cells, rows and columns) in a few (3 to 5) hours.  I have taught many freshmen college students to do this in

a few class periods.

It depends on how much time you want to put in.  Start with the basic knowledge of Excel.  When you are comfortable proceed to the intermediate skills level.  After that to the advanced functions / skills level.  Excel is a necessary app when taking accounting and finance courses.  In addition, you will need it when working in most business situations.
