to get a₁ you should use the equation and use 1 instead of n

3^1-2 /9  = 1/27

 

Keep doing that for a₂ a₃ a₄

 

The common ratio a number that is multiplied to get the next term.

So to find the common ratio, calculate (a₂ / a₁). That will be your common ratio.
