I lived in Rome and other cities for 27 years
Rule: combine the similar terms: Xs with Xs, Ys with Ys and simple terms with simple terms then combine their results in a simple expression.
13x and 5x therefore 13x + 5x= +18x
20 + -5 + 9 =
15 + 9 = 24
24+ 18x Final answer
You can use the commutative property of addition to re-write this as:
20 - 5 + 9 + 13x + 5x
Now you should clearly be able to combine like terms. Obviously, the constant terms can be added to one another, and the two variable terms can be added together by adding their coefficients (which are 13 and 5)
