Where is the three years of 21% shrinkage?

Each successive year it is taking 93% of a
smaller amount than the previous year.  The
resulting shrinkage of the original amount
is not 21 % of the original amount... It is

.07(original) + .07[(original-.07(original)]
+ .07[.07[(original-.07(original)]]

There is no 21% shrinkage for this problem. You had to decide if the statement was true or false and if it was false what the actual shrinkage was. The answer was that it is false the shrinkage would not be 21% for three years, it would be 19.56% or 19.6% rounded.
