Please help me to solve this problem 6c+3/4=8

Ive tried Taking the 6 away on both sides. I dont know how to get rid of the 3/4 either. should I use the distribute property or what? I'm lost

 First Multiply both sides by 4:

 

6c  +3/4 = 8

 

 24 C + 3 = 32

 

  24C = 29

 

   C = 29/24.

  If you don't want to multiply by 4, and

 

   6c  + 3/4 = 8

 

  6C = 8 - 3/4 = 7 1/4 = 29/4

  

C = 29/24
