If victor scores y points in the first quarter, and increases his quarterly score by 4 points in each of the remaining quarters, how many points will he score

Answer 1

1st Quarter --->  y

2nd Quarter -->  y + 4

3rd Quarter ---> y + 4 + 4 = y + 8

4th Quarter ---> y + 4 + 4 + 4 = y + 12

 

TOTAL:             4y + 24
