I would also suggest thinking about what it means that this line is at the very beginning of the play. In the Watchman's opening monologue here, he's setting the scene for everything that follows. How might this line be related to the rest of the events in the play?

I can't give you an answer that would be specific.  What I can do is get you thinking along the right track.

 

Think about what has happened in the house.  What has the house "seen" that it could then "speak" about.
