F'(x) = t'^4/4-t^3+t^2

pls help me find the derivative thanksss

Kenneth S.

How can we be sure what this is?
Just what is on the right side of the equal sign (order of operations may be loused up due to missing parentheses...)
The independent variable appears to be t, or is it x??
Since she defines that (vague) expression as F'(x), and asks to find derivative, does she want F"(x).

In any event, doesn't it appear that the expression given is suspect?

Sorry should have been f'(t)

I think she has vocabulary problems. She doesn't distinguish between f(x) & f'(x). She doesn't see the problem with f(x) = t.

Pia,

You want the derivative, but the notation F'(x) you have given us indicates that you already have the derivative.  The only thing you do with this function is find the derivative beyond this derivative, or find the anti-derivative.
