What criteria are you using to select your college/university?

I am not sure what this college application is asking me. I am applying to Neumont University for Software and Game Development. Any help would be great. Thanks

The university wants to know why you pick their School.

 

Was it close to your?

 

Do your friends go there?

 

Do you like their degree programs?

Think about what made you interested in that college/university to begin with, why you want to go there, what is important to you in a college/university. Is it class size, the degree programs offered, tuition, location, scholarships, etc.?

Avoid mentioning the rankings as most schools outside of the top tier resent them.  I would focus more on why you are a good fit for the school.  How their program interests you: what faculty are in your areas of study who have done research work or have experience that interests you, what courses you want to take, how their program would put you in an advantageous position for your future career due to ____ opportunities offered there.

I would think about different criteria :

 

1- My GPA and which schools I can apply to

2- The program offered at the college/university and how it is related to what I want to study

3- Job/Internship opportunities in my area of the study in the college/university region

4- Ranking of the college/university as per US News

5- college/university city environment and how I can enjoy my time there in addition to study
