First we need to figure out what the shift is:
we take x-1 and set it equal to zero and solve for x:
x-1=0
x=1
Therefore we have a shift of +1 to the right.
Our new vertex is:
(1,0)
So the translation from the parent graph is just a shift of one unit to the right, applied to the entire graph.
