       Photosynthesis takes CO₂ and releases O₂ whereas cellular respiration takes 0₂ and releases CO_2.

 

       Photosynthesis requires sunlight, cellular respiration does not.

 

      Cellular respiration occurs in both plant and animal cells. Photosynthesis is phenomenon for plant cells.
