This is describing the curve (1/t,3) in the cartesian-plane...
Thinking of x=1/t...then xt=1 and 3xt=y...
for t>0, we can describe the curve as (1/x,y) = (1/x,3)...
in this problem, where y is constant (independent of the parameter) and t and x related by a simply inverse proportion...the switch between parametric and rectangular is trivial!
