Let L and W be the length and width of the field:
- Perimeter = 192 yards = 2L + 2W
- Length is twice the width: L = 2W
Substitute 2W in place of L in the Perimeter equation
192 = 2L + 2W
192 = 2(2W) + 2W
192 = 4W + 2W
