What is the most important earned value measurement one can share with management when reporting project status?

Project Managers can report status to management in a variety of ways.

The worst thing to ever say is "the project is going good "or "the project is doing badly"

Maybe even worst than those comments is to say "I do not know".

Management needs details so that they can make a decision on if to terminate the project, bring on more project team members, or if to ask the sponsor for more time to get milestones achieved.

What earned value measurement is the one measurement management would appreciate best?

#1 lesson is to engage with lessons. A teacher can only teach and measure teaching ability based on feedback from students. We look forward to engagement with you and with your project team.
