Bank reconciliation

Question

I have many different things errors on my bank reconciliation and searching or even my boss can’t figure out how to solve them. So I am looking for some one help me with this and other stuff.

Hi Angela,

It would be easier to answer you question if I knew a little more about the specific errors however here are a few simple things to try.

1. Verify the opening balance is correct. - If it has changed QB should give you a report on what has changed so it can be researched.
2. Verify the Date on the statements is Correct.
3. Verify all transactions are classified from the bank feed or entered manually.
4. Verify that transactions are not being marked reconciled directly from the bank register.
5. Narrow down the issue by comparing total deposits to total expenses to what is listed on the bank statement.
