I don't see working remotely as being all that different. Over time, we have gone from having project teams that are mostly located in the same office to having teams that are spread among many offices in different states, or even different countries. As communications technologies have expanded and matured, it has become much easier to collaborate remotely, and team members have become more comfortable with - and more skilled at - coordinating their work without physical proximity. In the past, we usually tried to get the project team together at least once or twice - believing that was necessary for team cohesion - but it is becoming less and less common to have in-person meetings and more and more common to have video conferences. The pandemic has just spurred along the trend of working remotely, and working from home.
