Greetings!
Well it depends on if it is an Online or Real World tutoring session, as either will have different activities.
Real World
Ensure it is a public location and people know where you are going and with whom your are meeting.
Ensure you have the textbook, copy of the assignment, and access to the lecture slides; so that the tutor can look it over and provide you with appropriate feedback and input.
Online (WyzAnt)
Ensure that you have installed WyzAnt's appropriate browser plugin. This plugin gives access to your webcam, and microphone; although you can choose not to enable the webcam during the session setup configuration and testing. You can Google, something like: wyzant chrome plugin or wyzant firefox plugin.
While not required, buy and install a headset with a microphone; this cuts down on background noise and enabled that the tutor can hear you well.
Check your email just prior to your session as a room link will show up there, that you can click to join your tutor. Whitelist WyzAnt in your mail software or you may find the link and email going into your Spam folder.
Prior to the meeting ask your tutor if he needs anything from you ahead of time, it will save you time later.
Hope this helps,
David
