Revit Help
Stairs, in Revit, can be difficult. When sketching stairs, if you are creating a switchback stair, create one line, the horizontal distance of the first run (11" x # of treads), move your mouse in the direction of the second flight, create a second line, the horizontal distance of the second run. These dimensions represent the centerline of the stairs (by default). To edit, simply place the lines at the appropriate center/center dimension of the stairs, and adjust the stairs and landing lines to obtain the desired size. Take note, as well, of the many instance and type parameter options on the stairs. These are significant in your stair design. Railing, in Revit, is en entirely different beast, and difficult.
