Revit Help
Follow the error messages, down to where it allows you to highlight the element in question (you can cycle through views to get a good handle on what part it is). Isolate that part, and go back to it's construction. Something in there is not letting it be recognizable as a structural element. It is likely constructed using the wrong family type. You can verify, and change this, by selecting the element, Edit Family. When the Family Editor opens, select the part, in the Properties TAB in the Ribbon, select the yellow folder option. It will allow you to verify, and change if necessary, the Family Type to Structural (Framing, Connection, etc), and load it back into the project. Save it at every prompt, and when importing it into the family, do not accept the default setting; rather select the bottom option to "Override.....and parameters.". You always want to do this to ensure it load every change you made.
