How can I get the accurate width or volume of sketched stairs of different shapes in Revit?

The default setting for stair pad width is 3'-0". If you wish to change this, under the Properties pallet, select "Actual Run Width", and change the dimension to your desired dimension. To further refine the stairs, select the "Edit Type" option near the top of the Properties Pallet, and from here you can control the stringer profile, position, etc.
