What’s the difference between a local file of the central Revit model and a detached model from it?

A local file is a users personal project file that is connected to the Central Project File via the cloud or through an internal network path. A detached model is no longer connected to the central file and therefore, any changes made to a detached file will not affect the central file or any other users project.
