If your resort has multiple "apartments" there are two ways to go about building these into the overall project and keeping the file small. Groups and Links. The pros and cons of both vary depending on who you are talking to, but I will list out below the big picture differences between the two.
Groups:
Pros - you can build the entire apartment within the model and make changes as necessary within the same Revit session. Changes populate quickly across the file
Cons - if not modeled accurately, groups can often explode and become very difficult to rotate, mirror, copy, etc. Modeled groups can also lead to large file size
Links:
Pros - very easy to work with and layout within the overall project, each link is its own individual file and can be loaded and unloaded to speed up a model. Duplicating and rotating is very easy. File size is kept smaller
Cons - depending on how they are set up, you can only edit a link by opening another Revit session and then save / reload all links. Links can also sometimes bog down the graphics depending on how many you have in the project, and are often best left unloaded until needed
I personally lean more towards Links instead of groups, but there are multiple websites stating why one is better than the other. So I would explore both ways and see which one works best for you
