What are the steps to install Autodesk software in Linux?

1. Do one of the following to start the Maya install:
2. If you are installing from USB media, insert it into your drive.
3. If you are installing from a download package, extract the Maya packages from the compressed file.
4. Open a shell as a super user (using su -) and navigate to the directory where you extracted the packages.
5. Note: Recent Linux distributions may require a full super user environment to run the installer as root. You can use su - to obtain the proper level. (Note the trailing hyphen.)
6. Type ./setup and press Enter.
7. This starts the Maya Installer.
8. Follow the instructions in the Installer to install the product.
9. For example, in the License information window, do the following:
10. Enter your 11-digit Serial Number.
11. Enter your Product key.
12. Select your License type: Standalone or Network.
13. If you select the Network license type, enter your license server name in the Server name field that appears. Contact your network administrator to find your license server name.
14. Note: If you are using standalone licensing on Fedora 14 and beyond with Consistent Network Device Naming (CNDN) enabled, see the section about this in Additional Linux notes.
15. Click Continue.
16. In the final window that confirms a successful installation, click Done
