A construction with double "бы"-s?
This sentence apparently means "I would like to sleep till April":> Заснуть бы до апреля бы.But I can't understand the use of "бы" here. Could someone give examples of other sentences using this double-бы construction? For instance, if I say:> [Infinitive verb] бы [object] бы.Does that always mean "I would like to verb the object"?

To understand this sentence it helps to get over your belief that native speakers of Russians are infallible. They aren't. Sometimes they use sloppy sentence construction, and this is a case of that. The second бы is unnecessary and was probably put in a overcompensation.

I found that this line is from some text of some song of the Belorussian musical group IOWA (Indie-pop): Листья облетели, снег теперь с метелями. Неделя за неделей, хожу не в своем теле я. Заснуть бы до апреля бы, птицы снова пели бы. Сердце бы согрели - солнце и капель. The texts are written by the singer Ekaterina Ivachikova and the guitar player L. Tereshchenko, so we can blame one of them for the sloppy Russian (using БЫ twice), though probably it was important for a rhyme.02/16/21
