Is "ну ты бухать" grammatically valid?

I don't understand what makes "ну ты бухать" a valid language construct. Can anybody point out some references? Is it some sort of a similar thing to "ну ты даешь"?

It is a colloquial phrase, in my opinion, similar to Ну ты даёшь! Even the verb is in the infinitive form. Something like Ну ты можешь/умеешь бухать! Wow, you can drink (alcohol excessively)!
