Fine all numbers such that the number added to itself is less than that number subtracted from 6 

 

n + n < 6 - n

n + n < 6 - n

 

Add the two n's together (n + n = 2n):

 

2n < 6 - n

 

Add n to both sides:

 

3n < 6

 

Divide both sides by 3:

 

n < 2   (all number less than 2)
