Find the equation (in terms of x) of the line through the points (-5,-1) and (1,2). y= I am lost and stumped cant seem to find a good help source. Thanks

(-1 - 2)/(-5 - 1) = -3/-6 = 1/2

 

Then, plug in either point.

 

y - 2 = (1/2)(x - 1)

y - 2 = (1/2)x - 1/2

y = (1/2)x + 3/2
