Hi Robert;
m=-6; (-5,-8)
We can put this into point slope format of y=mx+b initially.
y = -6x + b
Using (-5, -8) as (x, y) solve for b
-8 = -6(-5) + b
-8 = 30 + b
-38 = b
The equation is y = -6x - 38
Just add 6x to both sides to put into Ax + By = C
6x + y = -38
