Two clocks time realted

Two clocks are set to correct time at Tuesday 10 AM. First clock gains 3 and half minute per hour whereas second clock looses 2 and half minute per hour. At what time they will be 1 hour apart from each other?

The faster clock gains 3.5 + 2.5 = 6 minutes per hour on the slower clock.  Hence:

 

(6 minutes per hour)*(t hours) = 60 minutes

 

t = 60/6 = 10 hours

 

10 am + 10 hours = 8 pm in real time

 

The faster clock will read 8:35 pm while the slower one will read 7:35 pm
