Rob and Nancy are working on a project. Rob completes 1/8 of it on Monday and 3/8 of it on Tuesday. Nancy completes 2/8 of it on Wednesday and 1/8 of it on Thursday.  Is the project complete? EXPLAIN.

For the project to be complete, the fractions that Rob and Nancy have finished need to add up to one.

 

Rob completes 1/8 of it on Monday and 3/8 of it on Tuesday.

 

So Rob completed (1/8) + (3/8) = 4/8

 

Nancy completes 2/8 of it on Wednesday and 1/8 of it on Thursday

 

So Nancy completed (2/8) + (1/8) = 3/8

 

The total completed by Rob and Nancy so far is:
