8 + 11 + 19 = 38 gallons

 

How much did Isabel spend in total for gas?

 

8 * 3.12 = 24.96

 

11 * 2.74 = 30.14

 

19 * 2.68 = 50.92

 

So, in total Isabel spent 24.96 + 30.14 + 50.92 = $106.02

 

The average fuel cost per gallon is the total amount spent on gas ÷ the total gallons of fuel purchased, or:
