The total travel time is 1.25 hours. I converted to hours to ensure consistent units. You have to be unit-correct to get the right answer.

So if you let t= amount of time it takes to get to school, then
32t = 48 (1.25-t)
32t = 60 - 48t
80t = 60
t = 0.75 hour, or 45 minutes
So 45 minutes to get to school, and 30 minutes home.
