                   Hi Lora...Lets give this a try...

 

         Now please notice the "PLUS" sign...meaning to ADD...  Also,

 

        the 50 %   means "HALF" of of an amount  or something.. In this case

 

          we are going to do both to the number   64.42.......

 

 

         First, we divide the 64.42  by 2   because we are taking HALF..

 

             (64.42 / 2 ) =32.21   =half   (50 %)   Next we are going to ADD the

 

 

               32.21  to 64.42     we have  (32.21  +  64.42)  =  96.63  ----->  ANSR
