Can you use each part of speech only once (excluding articles a, an, the) in a sentence?

One of my questions in my packet is a true and false question. It says that you can use each part of speech only once in a sentence and it can still be a sentence. I think its false, but I don't have enough proof to know for sure. Can you please help me? Thank You.

Answer #1 and #2 above are incorrect because they use parts more than once.

 

Still, I would say that this is possible.  Your sentence can only have 8 words plus any articles, as I understand the "rules."

 

Yikes! she ate from the rotten apple but carefully.

 

Yikes = interjection

she = pronoun

ate = verb

from = preposition

the = article

rotten = adjective

apple = noun

but = conjunction

carefully = adverb

 

It's hard to perform this task and end up with a natural-sounding sentence, but that was not one of the requirements :)

 

Note that my sentence uses what are called elliptical phrases, that is, phrases that leave out words that we would understand to be there.  The last section could be rendered as "but (she ate) carefully."

Articles are not parts of speech.

8 parts of speech are noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, interjection and conjunction. Observe the following sentence.

oh! weatherman and his crew have perfectly forecast for tonight's heavy rain and occasional hails.

 

Interjection oh!

Noun  weatherman crew rain hails

Conjunction and and

pronoun his

adverb  perfectly

verb forecast  

preposition  for

Adjective heavy occasional

The correct answer is NO.
