Kayla runs 188m and Paul runs 128m. They both run a whole number of times around the track. How far around is the track?

This question involves creating a factor tree and finding the CF's

Kayla and Paul are both on their school’s track-and-field teams. Running laps around the track one day, Kayla runs 188m and Paul runs 128m. They both run a whole number of times around the track. How far around is the track?

since the biggest common factor of 188 and 128 is 4,so we can say tht the track length is 4m.kayla runs around it 47 times and paul 32 times

The Greatest Common Factor here is 4...

 

So the track would be 4 m around; Kayla would run it 47 complete times (4 x 47 = 188) and Paul would run it 32 complete times (4 x 32 = 128).

 

Tiniest. Track. Ever.

 

Unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible. Hopefully someone smart will check in. :-)
