Let x be one of the supplementary angles.  because the two angles are supplementary the other angle is 180^o-x.

• One angle (x)
• is (=)
• twice its supplement (2*(180-x))
• increased by 60 (+60):

 

x = 2(180-x) + 60

x = 360 - 2x + 60

3x = 420

x = 140^o

 

The other angle is 180^o - x = 180^o - 140^o = 40^o
