A mixed number consists of an integer and a fraction, e.g., 7 5/8.
An improper fraction consists of a numerator larger than its denominator, e.g.,  16/5

Thank you Mark.  Got ahead of myself in meaning that since it is not an improper fraction it dosn't convert to a mixed number.
