You'll need to explain this more clearly. What are the degrees signs about?

If those "degree signs" are zeroes similar to below,
(15x-5)0 (90-4x)0
You have a different way of solving the problem.
The zero exponent rule is any number, x, raised to zero equals one.
x0=1
x could be replaced by parenthesis with an equal inside and work the same way.
(15x-5)0 = 1 and (90-4x)0 = 1
so both of these equations would change from
(15x-5)0 (90-4x)0 into (1)(1)
and you would multiply the 1*1 for your answer

Building Confidence and Self Esteem Through Math
Each parenthesis have degree one or can be said to be of the 1st degree. Because there is no math symbol between the parenthesis it means to multiply them. To multiply them you apply the F.O.I.L. method. First outside inside Last. First multiply 15x by 90 them 15x by -4x. (it's a -4x because the minus sign is between 90 and 4x) Then multiply -5 by 90 and -5 by -4x like this.
(15x -5)(90-4x)
(15x) X 90 + (15 x) X (-4x) + (-5) X 90 + (-5) X (-4x) F.O.I.L.
1350x + (-60x^2) + (-450) + 20x Add like terms. The underlined x terms are like terms so you add them.
-60x^2 +1370x -450
This trinomial (three terms) is said to be of 2nd degree because the first term -60x^2 has a power of two or 2nd degree.
Hope this helps!
