Jamestown, North Dakota, claims to have the world's largest bison ( American buffalo) statue. The statue is 26 feet high, 46 feet long, and 14 feet wide. The statue is similar to an actual bison that is 6 feet tall.

Given that the statue is proportionate to the real-life animal, the ratio of height to length would be the same for both. 

 

Therefore, you can take the parameters of the statue: 26 (height), 46 (length); and those of the real bison: 6 (height), x (length) and come up with the equation:

 

26/46=6/x

 

26x=46*6

26x=276

x=276/26

x=10.61, so about 11ft
