Organic chemistry 2 tutoring

Nate was a fantastic tutor. He tutored me all semester for organic chemistry 2. Not only did he help me with new concepts, but he also helped me review old material from organic 1 that I was pretty behind on. He knows a ton about organic chemistry- he was able to answer any and all questions I had. He really helped me understand orgo instead of just memorizing reactions (which made the class much more enjoyable). Not only is he super knowledgeable, but he is great at teaching the material. He was able to tailor his approach in a way that would make it easiest for me to understand. I just took my final today and it went great- and that definitely wouldn’t have been possible without Nate’s help. I would 1000% recommend Nate as a tutor.

Organic Chem 2 Tutoring

I took a chance on Nate when my previous tutor was unavailable, and I am very particular about my tutoring style. While some tutors may take their time, which works well for certain learning preferences, I find it does not always align with my budget. During the time I had the privilege of working with Nate on my homework, I found him to be highly knowledgeable, able to work at a comfortable pace, and incredibly efficient. Despite the limited hours I had booked with him, he made the most of every session, ensuring each one was thorough, well-structured, and focused. His ability to break down complex concepts and provide clear, understandable explanations made a significant impact on my learning.

Flexible and knowledge

I found Nate after failing my first O-chem exam, I have never been good at Gen Chem and was nervous about not passing this semester, for I hear organic chemistry was much harder. He was always very flexible in scheduling appointments and allowing for as much as needed. I started out with three times a week then as I got a better grasp of the material I went to once a week. His availability allows for weekends which is very helpful for exam reviews. I had a really hard time adjusting to my professor's learning style especially on zoom so we went over about every chapter. He was able to walk me through every topic and homework practice problems. I would mispronounce about every topic and he still had a good idea of what I was saying. Most of my notes ended up being from Nate as he explained things to be clear, simple, and straight to the point. Between the recorded sessions to extra youtube videos and links he provided, I was very well prepared for my final exam earning a 95%. I moved from falling 4 quizzes and one exam to earning As and Bs for the rest of the semester ending with a B+. I am not a chemistry person but I'm very glad Nate was able to get me through it, instead of having to repeat the class as I did for Gen Chem II. Wish I found him sooner!
