I love teaching and training students to reach their full potential and be successful in school and in life. More importantly, I believe everyone has the potential to be the best they can be as long as they are made to believe in themselves, in their potential and innate abilities. I love teaching and training students to reach their full potential and be successful in school and in life. More importantly, I believe everyone has the potential to be the best they can be as long as they are made to believe in themselves, in their potential and innate abilities. I have had a lot of informal teaching experience as a Scoutmaster (woodbadger), volunteer in many student and professional organizations; and more formally as a undergraduate work-study student and graduate research assistant while at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. I have tutored many students and proctored countless tests and exams in the student writing center, adaptive technology lab, computer and science labs on campus. In my professional life, I have worked as a corporate pharmacy trainer for over 10 years. I have also taught pharmacy technology and pharmacy technician training programs in classroom settings, simulated case environment (CBT), store settings, one-on-one sessions...etc. What I have learned and enjoyed throughout is to 'start the car and let the student drive', turn the computer and surrender the mouse to them, and then watch their eyes get bigger and brighter as they find clarity and purpose in their own directed learning. I truly subscribe to the Boy Scouts method of "learning by doing" applied to facilitating learning.

I have a very broad and solid science and humanities education, coupled with a visceral need for reading and research. I am constantly updating my knowledge through interaction with people much smarter than I am and staying abreast with current research and advances in Science, Technology and Math (STEM). I was in a very rigorous International Baccalaureate program at a prestigious boarding High School, got accepted in a BS/MS program in college and was awarded numerous scholarships and a prestigious Howard Hughes Undergraduate Fellowship. This allowed me to conduct cutting-edge research in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Molecular Genetics and to present my research at vario

Only the GRE was required for acceptance into my Professional Master's program years ago. However I took both the GRE and the GMAT and scored very highly on the general and subject tests. In addition, I personally tutored and coached over 15 people after that in either tests including my own wife and sister who both graduated with MBA degrees respectively in Finance and Management from reputed B-Schools, All the other students except for 2 were accepted in a business program and either graduated or are currently enrolled. Of the other two, one decided against pursuing a graduate degree and the other went to take the MCAT (I tutored also) and went on to medical school. Oftentimes, on standardized tests, it's not the test taker's subject knowledge, but rather test taking strategies and time management strategies that keep them from the desired score or outcome. We can work on that!

I would very much like to help you hone your presentation and business communication skills. When it comes to presentation, it's about meat and potatoes as the saying goes: content is as important as structure; and delivering a compelling argument is only as good as the ease of flow and how effective the subject matter is presented. The level at which you're speaking is the icing on the cake along with cosmetic elements (combined with your proficiency with MS PowerPoint for instance). I have taught at the college level and have professionally trained hundreds of people as a certified corporate trainer. I have designed and effectively delivered many speeches in various languages, and in front of very diverse audiences. I am also a Scoutmaster (Wood-Badger), trained in delivering engaging and dynamic formal and informal presentations on a variety of topics to all age groups. Please feel free to contact me anytime for a free online consultation so you can be on your way to delivering powerful speeches and comfortable with public speaking. Thank you

ESL/ESOL,

ESL/ESOL

I started college as an international student and had faced the same challenges as most international students face today. I went through a very rigorous ESL program at the University of South Carolina for about 6 months though my English was already very good. However in addition, I developed invaluable reading, writing, and oral communication skills that proved decisive as an undergraduate and graduate students. I was able to earn scholarships and grants partly due to my strong academics but also to my language preparation. I have taken all standardized test successfully including DLIT, TOEFL, TSE, TWE, ACT, SAT, PCAT, MCAT, GRE and wrote a couple theses.

Bonjour Y'all! Je parle le Français de France, du Quebec et du Monde! French is my first language And I speak and breathe it daily. I leverage a lot of creative, engaging and dynamic ways to teach French because I believe learning any language involves more than speaking it, but we must also live it through music, culture, food, or any other medium or topic you may be interested in. In the end, proficiency in any language has to do with how regularly do you put those skills to practice as well as your overall ease with using it in our daily activities. Once you develop a solid level of comfort and confidence in both areas, fluency naturally flows from there. I can introduce you to French at all levels be it conversational, social, academic, business or even medical or technical. We can work on all and more in ways that will be fun, interactive, and contemporary. Merci! Ousmane

I am not a professional or certified teacher but I love reading and I read on average 2-3 books a month in addition to numerous article in my professional field. In addition I speak different lean gushes which force the mind to pay more attention to written texts. One of the quotes I like to refer often is "Repetition is the grandmaster of learning", a well established pedagogy mantra emphasizing the need for revisiting study materials and finding different approaches to optimize learning. Another one is "Persistence beats Resistance", outlining the need for perseverance in the pursuit of one's educational goals. So good organization (good class notes, use of planners and reminders), repetition (revisiting the same material in different ways), and persistence (a string will to succeed and master learning) are the cornerstones of academic success at any level, from kindergarten to graduate school and lifelong learning. English & Social Sciences may be daunting due to the rigor of analysis, and level of composition skills often required. Math and Science for instance can be confusing because just like any discipline, they require a working vocabulary, a systematic and logical learning approach to organize new and old material, as well as a few guiding principles that may need to be memorized eventually. Once the student develops a solid level of comfort and confidence in those areas, grades generally tend to improve. We can work on that! I was a Biochemistry/Pre-med major as an undergraduate in college and also in graduate school. I successfully completed over 14-16 credits in genetics, molecular genetics as well as advanced research in biotechnology, phylogenetics and bioinformatics that often built upon a strong genetics basis. More importantly I am able to correlate how Mendelian and Mammalian genetics relate to human diseases and current medical challenges. Lastly, as my thesis looked at the genetic make-up of viruses of medical importance to better understand their epidemiology and natural history. This research was funded by the Howard Hughes Research Fellowship program -/-

Furthermore I have close to 15 years experience working in clinical pharmacy and over 300 hours of continuing education credits in pharmacology and related disciplines.
Zoology,

Zoology

Zoology or animal biology is the field of Biology that studies the classification, evolution and distribution of all animals, and how their interact with their milieu. Hence, zoology, much like microbiology, or anatomy and physiology can be daunting at first but requires critical thinking and logical analysis, coupled with a very good sense of organization and structure. This will not only help you classify members of the animal kingdom as you encounter them but also acquire a massive vocabulary to be approached much like medical terminology (root- prefixes, suffixes). It would also be to your advantage of you're a pre-health student to classify pathogens in relationships to the disease they cause (Dz, pathogenesis, immunity, epidemiology, diagnosis, control/treatment). My qualifications to tutor Zoology include degrees in Biochemistry with a molecular biology focus and Biotechnology, along with over three years of college level tutoring as a lab assistant, test proctor and graduate research assistant in the Biological Sciences at the University of South Carolina. I have taken an abundance of undergraduate and graduate level biology classes including: plant biology, genetics, anatomy/physiology, bacteriology, microbiology, parasitology, pathobiology, viral pathogenesis, and of course zoology. My undergraduate course was called Animal behavior which is essentially zoology. Additionally in the past years I have tutored many college and graduate students in various biology and genetics courses.

Study Skills

I have tutored many students on various subjects and test prep, and have also taught undergraduate classes and labs. I can help you get more organized, take better notes, and maximize your learning. Feel free to contact me for a free phone consultation. Thank you.

Biology in general can be confusing because just like any science, it requires a working vocabulary, a systematic and logical learning approach to organize material, as well as a few guiding principles that need to be learned. Once the student develops a solid level of comfort and confidence in those areas, grades generally tend to improve. My qualifications to tutor biology include degrees in Biochemistry with a molecular biology focus and Biotechnology, along with over three years of college level tutoring as a lab assistant, test proctor and graduate research assistant in the Biological Sciences at the University of South Carolina. Additionally in the past years I have tutored many more students in biology and genetics including college and graduate students. Thank you.
ESL/ESOL,

French,

French

Merci! Ousmane
Reading,

Reading

I am not a professional or certified teacher but I love reading and I read on average 2-3 books a month in addition to numerous article in my professional field. In addition I speak different lean gushes which force the mind to pay more attention to written texts. Lastly I have done very well on the reading section of all standardized tests I have had to take, DLIT, TOEFL/ESL, TWE, ACT, PCAT, GRE; along with on the qualifying test for this tutoring role.

Writing,

Writing

I am not a professional writer or proofreader but I write and proofread technical documents almost on a daily or weekly basis. I have also helped many students critique and review college level essays, including undergraduate and graduate theses and journal articles before submission to peer-review publications. And I worked as a graduate research assistant while at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. When it comes to essay writing, it's about meat and potatoes as the saying goes: content and making a compelling argument is only as good as adhering to the prescribed format, the level of writing and a strong, disciplined and logically structured statement.

College Counseling

As a Scientist and Educator, am able and available to help your student with College Planning and Counseling, including with the Application process, Standardized Test-Prep, College Interviews, Campus visits planning, and overall organization and planning needs. I have many years of experience tutoring students of various grade levels and currently work PT with two major Education and Tutoring companies as an external Education Consultant. I have also sat on admissions and deliberations committees as a federal work-study student in college and graduate teaching assistant in graduate schools. I have personally tutored many students for almost all college entrance exams including PSAT, SAT, ACT, TEAS, HESI A2, GMAT, GRE, PCAT, MCAT. In this process, I have also helped many students complete college and graduate school applications, draft essays and personal statements, research and evaluate colleges and programs, keep up with deadlines and admission requirements. I am also very comfortable with most online platforms, including Wyzant whiteboard.

GMAT

I am available to tutor for the nursing tests TEAS V (Test of Essential Academic Skills) and HESI A2 (Health Education Systems Inc, A2: assessment), often required for Nursing school admission/entrance. I am already subject qualified to tutor nursing through WyzAnt. My qualifications to tutor biology include degrees in Biochemistry with a molecular biology focus and Biotechnology, along with over three years of college level tutoring as a lab assistant, test proctor and graduate research assistant in the Biological Sciences in college. Additionally in the past years I have tutored many more students in health psychology, chemistry, biology and genetics including college and graduate students. Finally, for the past decade I have trained a sizable number of pharmacy technicians, dental and medical assistants, and other medical professionals in both clinical and operational aspects of healthcare and career development. I have also extensively tutored high school and college students in various academic subjects and test prep (including TEAS V). Additionally, I am currently tutoring nursing students on a weekly basis and also helping them prepare for specific portions of the NCLEX. I strongly believe this experience, combined with my significant healthcare experience, makes me uniquely qualified to help pre-nursing and other allied health students pass the TEAS and HESI A2 with flying colors! Best Tutor!!

Ousman is truly a great tutor he has helped me improve my scores for the HESI A2 by quite a lot. He will always encourage you and is very honest with the feedback that he gives you in the problematic areas. This makes it easier for someone to be able to know what areas to go back and take a further look into. He is truly well knowledged and versed in the areas and much more that it makes it easier to ask him questions. You can tell he truly cares and wants the best. I would 100% recommend and plus he is hilarious it makes learning with him easier and delightful.

very organized

Ousman is the best tutor I’ve ever had!! (& I’ve had a lot!) he is well organized & thorough. He helped me pass my hesi a2 exam with flying colors! I could barely multiply numbers when I first met with him & now I just passed the Hesi math section with an 88%! He is hard working, dedicated & a wonderful person. He is so nice & truly wants to see people succeed! He doesn’t play around & really tries to find the specific areas you need help in. He has a wonderful set up of locating your areas of weakness & creating a workshop to improve those areas. He takes so much time to help others. He goes out of his way to write detailed reports on your progress & gives AMAZING handouts of questions & information that truly help you understand the information. He has everything documented & in order so you never feel confused on what he is asking of you! If you are serious about learning & progressing to get where you need to be, he is the guy for you!!! He never makes anyone feel dumb or insecure because he really is there to help you. You can ask him anything because he is so smart & never judges. I am so thankful for Ousman!! Because of him I know I’m going to nursing school & that I have a bright future ahead of me!! He is also great about being your cheerleader & giving you no nonsense advice!! There were many times I felt like giving up & that I just wasn’t smart enough but he wouldn’t let me do or think that!!! I owe my future to Ousman & believe he’s a gift from god! I thank him so much & truly believe that anyone who works with him is going to go so far in life!! #OusmanforPresident 💯💯🙌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻

An Amazing Tutor

I was lucky enough to get 4 sessions with Ousman. He helped me study for the TEAS test. I was able to improve my score by 10% after working with him. He was very knowledgeable and showed me test-taking tips that changed the game completely. I definitely recommend tutoring with Ousman.

Knowledge and patient

Ousman helped me pass the Hesi A2 exam. I loved that he gave practice problems from each section of the test. It helped me get use to seeing questions similar to the ones on the test. It was also helpful to go through the questions together. He gave me strategies on how to approach the each and every questions. At the end of the sessions I felt confident and ready to take on the test.
