Hi! I am Shannon! I have been a nurse and nurse educator for roughly 16+ years. I went to East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina for my Bachelor's in Nursing. I served in the US Air Force as a nurse and am a combat veteran. I have a Master's in Nursing Education from Sacred Heart University and a Master's in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from the Medical University of South Carolina and I am a certified pediatric nurse. I have taught both in the full-time and adjunct faculty capacity as a nursing professor where I have been nominated for a Daisy Award as a faculty member. I am still currently an adjunct professor in the online capacity and I am involved with curriculum development.
I understand the struggles of being a student and not all students are created equal. Test-taking skills are not inherited but developed and how "C" equals RN. I love teaching and seeing my students not only learn but grow in their learning process and succeed! I hope I can be of benefit to you with your individualized nursing journey and help guide you with a better understanding of the nursing profession. Please reach out if I can help you.
