I have spent more than 15 years helping high school students and working professionals navigate important educational and career decisions through my work in higher education recruitment and admissions leadership. Throughout my career, I have advised individuals on identifying strengths, aligning goals with opportunities, preparing for interviews, and communicating their experiences effectively. My work evaluating applicants and candidates has given me a strong understanding of how individuals can present themselves authentically and confidently throughout decision-making and hiring processes. I also work closely with High School counselors as part of my full time job at Colorado College and whether connecting with counselors, students or families - my approach focuses on helping individuals identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and develop strategies for long-term success.

In my current role at Colorado College, and previously at several other institutions, I have advised students on college selection, admissions strategy, application development, and navigating important enrollment decisions. I have reviewed hundreds of applications using holistic review practices and understand how admissions decisions are made at selective institutions. My approach to college counseling is individualized and supportive, helping students identify schools that align with their goals while building confidence throughout the admissions journey.

Writing has been an integral part of my work throughout more than 15 years in higher education admissions and recruitment. As an admissions professional and application reviewer, I have evaluated thousands of student essays and written responses while developing a strong understanding of effective writing, organization, and storytelling. I have also led essay workshops and admissions case study reviews for students, counselors, and school partners, and have worked one-on-one with students to strengthen their writing while preserving their authentic voice. My approach focuses on helping students become more confident writers by emphasizing clarity, voice, cohesion, structure, and thoughtful self-reflection.

I work with students on preparation, communication strategies, common questions, and techniques for managing nerves and building confidence. My goal is to help students feel comfortable telling their stories and presenting themselves effectively in interviews and conversations.
