Combating the Literacy Crisis, I have returned to tutoring in order to better the world. Foreign Language, proofreading, and maths have always been my fortes, however I have much knowledge to impart, a teacher's spirit, and people naturally come to me for help with anything from car troubles to gardening advice. In the past, I tutored for my high school, taught English to Spanish speakers, proofread and copyedited for friends and family, taught my children to read before the age of three, and worked in almost every trade one can name. In school, I studied Spanish, Latin, and German, as well as being two years ahead of curriculum in math. Recently, I completed a training course in Spanish/English Medical Interpreting and earned the ACTFL Spanish Reading Certificate rated Advanced. In day to day life, I have helped a friend achieve her minor in Spanish by bettering her pronunciation; Spanish is not just on paper, being able to speak and understand spoken Spanish is an important aspect in order to pass AP and other tests. My tutoring style focuses on easy memorization of grammar, use of derivatives to better understand vocabulary, and correct pronunciation. In math, I focus on rehashing basics to fill gaps, and work on confidence in every step. For English tutoring, I have a proven writing method, and focus on easy understanding of punctuation and grammar. Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to hear from you soon!
