Remember, my child has never touched a violin before and in just his first lesson he learned how to hold the violin, the names of the strings, learned the quarter and half notes, learned the basics of how to hold the bow, and the parts that make up the violin.

He included guidance on holding the violin and bow, the mechanics of bowing, and had me playing some simple patterns on the violin.
