-Japanese Lesson-
I was born and grew up in Japan. I came to New York in 2000 to return to college after I worked at the Japanese company in Tokyo for 5 years. Therefore, I have a skill of business Japanese (which is honorific ) . I always visited to Japan every year. I have some experience as a tutor for a middle school students. I completely finished the Japanese language teacher courses in April 2019 at the Japan Society in NYC. During taking the course, I started to teach the Japanese language class as an assistant. My Japanese lesson will be customized for each, fun, and get you a confidence.

-Violin Lesson-
I started violin at 6 in Suzuki method Violin School West Tokyo Brunch. From 12, I was apprenticed to Mr. Haruo Katayama (used to be a principal 2nd violin in the New philharmonic Orchestra, and a teacher of the Musashino Music College) in String major under Shobi College of Music . I have been teaching violin since 2012 in New York. My students started violin from zero level, and they all improved to play violin, read notes, and listen to the tune & rhythm. I combine etude, scale , and Suzuki and other text books, and customize for each level and ages.

Knows what she's doing and patient

I'm a beginner and completely new to the violin, but I know a good teacher when I meet one. She was very relaxed and knew how to work the software, and made sure I understood what I had been taught before moving on.

Flexible and understanding

I play an non-conventional violin and practice random things on my own but Mami is very flexible and knowledgeable to facilitate my learning. Her help guided me both during and outside of lessons.

Patient with children just beginning

Mami patiently helped my daughter in an initial lesson how to hold her violin and bow, how to stand, and the parts of the violin and how they work. They also tried playing a half note together.
