You can use the FOIL method to expand a polynomial by multiplying two binomials.
FOIL:
F = First terms ==> multiply the first terms in each set of parentheses
O = outer terms ==> multiply the outer terms in the two sets of parentheses
I = Inner terms ==> multiply the inner terms in the two sets of parentheses
L = Last terms ==> multiply the last terms in each set of parentheses
(9x + 5)(3x - 6)
9x*3x + 9x*-6 + 5*3x + 5*-6
27x2 + -54x + 15x + -30
27x2 - 54x + 15x - 30
27x2 + -39x - 30
27x2 - 39x - 30
